The WHW runs from Milngavie, a Glasgow suburb, to Fort William. In its early stages it follows the eastern bank of Loch Lomond before it rises into the West Highlands. Often following old English military roads formed during the Highland clearances, it eventually comes to Glen Coe, then Ben Nevis and finally Fort William on the west coast.

The GGW starts in Fort William. At first following the Caledonian Canal, it slowly works its way north east until it reaches Loch Ness. From there the trail continues along the loch to Inverness on the east coast.
It should be fun.
